Hello,
It's weekend again.
Hubby 'n me are foodies; so we utilise one day of weekend to eat out, visiting our favourite eateries or exploring new ones/new cuisines.
This week being extra busy with social commitments & our latest obsession of a 'Game of Thrones' rewind - S1 to S4.
Any fans would empathise the need to complete all sundry tasks as quickly as human limitations allow, and drown in the 7 realms :D
Yesterday this frenzy had me trying to fix dinner; a quick Andhra style 'Pesarattu' with my own devious twist!!
1) Take half a bowl of fresh mix sprouts lying in my chiller box, one green chili, half inch of ginger, salt, 1/2 tsp turmeric pd, 1/2 tsp jeera/cumin seeds & 1/2 cup of water.
3) Quickly chopped fine; one small onion, few leaves of curry leaves, dropped them in a bowl, added the ground paste and stirred them all lightly.
4) When you have the time, you can even add a handful of rava to the mixture & keep for 1 hour. The rava will fluff & your dosa's will be crispy. I didn't have that luxury, so just went without it ;)
Below images are from another time I made 'Pesarattu' batter, with the rava.
5) In a heated pan added; a few drops of oil, one ladle of my indigenous mixture, spread lightly to a rough dosa.
While the below portion of the dosa is browned & crispy, the top needs to be lightly golden.
Soon I had flipped about half a dozen dosas, to my awaiting eating plates.
So now seated on the couch, the next episode duly began, our dinner firmly seated on our laps like precarious bowls of popcorn.
In spite of the gripping drama enfolding on the TV screen, we both realised the dosas were damn good to taste. I made a silent note in my head to note down the recipe for future.
Do try it and let me know.
Cheers!!!
